Police have identified the driver of a Porsche who allegedly hit three parked cars around 3 p.m. Monday, causing a Sig-Alert on Coast Highway near West Street.

Christopher Robert Leinhard, 27, of Laguna Beach, allegedly fled the collision and was found shortly after on West Street beach by police officers. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries and after being released was placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run, said Sgt. Jason Kravetz.

“We received many calls of a white Porsche with Florida license plates which hit three parked cars in South Laguna. The male white driver got out of the car and was last seen running away from the scene,” Kravetz said. “He was described as being shirtless and possibly bleeding from the shoulder area. A couple of police officers found the suspect on the beach and took him into custody.”
