A Costa Mesa man is due in court today on accusations he was wildly wielding a knife at a local motel and claiming he owned the place.

Lewis Bremer, 63, was arrested Monday on suspicion of brandishing a deadly weapon inside the Sea Lark Motel, 2274 Newport Blvd. in Costa Mesa.

Police said Bremer walked into the motel lobby about 9 a.m. Monday waving a knife and gestured it toward three people inside while shouting that he owned the motel.
