When West Coast University opened its doors in 1909, few could envision the vast changes that the next century would bring. Yet time would prove that school was prepared to meet the challenges that lay ahead.

One hundred years later, West Coast University is not only relevant, but revolutionary: it is the only state-approved school of its kind to offer a bachelor of science degree in nursing. More recently, it became the first school in Orange County to offer a bachelor of dental hygiene.

But despite its impressive list of accomplishments, West Coast University continues to lead the way in post-secondary health care education.

“I’ve made it my personal mission to build an educational institution that gives you the most direct path possible for taking your career to the next level,” said David Pyle, president of the university, in a prepared statement.
