Steele ends strongly

Steele and junior Nocole Pontee were 32-16 as a duo, and they avenged their only league loss to win the conference doubles championship.

In the fall, Steele and Pontee won six straight matches to capture the New York state doubles crown.

The tandem finished the season ranked No. 7 in the Northeast Region.
