By night, a different fair

Going to the fair at night is a whole new experience for those who go mostly during the day. Walk down the pathways in the carnival area at night and its a whole new experience of sight and sound.

First, it’s not unlike Las Vegas as the lights from the thrill rides blink and spin, covering the whole kaleidoscope of color. It draws you in.

Second, as you get closer, the screams become evident from the scariest of rides. Screams rise and fall, disappearing only to rise again, the second one worse than the first. Luckily for those on the rides, it will all end soon.

Clickity-clack goes the roller coaster as a train whistle blows with ear splitting intensity. A mother covers her babies ears as the child cries after the hoot. Meanwhile, rock music mixes with hip-hop and Spanish urban beats to keep people loose.

People dancing as they come off the rides. It’s the one part of the fair that really brings the tern “county fair” home. Bling-bling.
