Teen organizes garage sale for nonprofit

Andrea Stange, a local teen known for collecting hundreds of pairs of shoes for underprivileged Mexican children, will hold a garage sale Saturday to raise money to feed the poor.

The organization she works with, Corazon, is creating $35 baskets of food, which contain enough supplies to feed a family for a month.

All proceeds from the garage sale from 8 a.m. to noon at 17341 Gibson Circle, Huntington Beach, will benefit Corazon.

Items that do not sell will be donated to the organization. Stange also will accept food donations for the baskets.
