Assisteens plan welcome party

The Assisteens of Laguna Beach will welcome all new members to a beach party from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 21.

All high school girls are welcome to participate in the introduction to rewarding and fun community service hours.

Assisteens is an affiliate of the Assistance League, made up of girls in ninth through 12th grades, who focus primarily on philanthropic work around the community, such as working at the Assistance League thrift shop, hosting Senior Bingo at the Susi Q. Senior Center, and working at the Friendship Shelter.

Along with aiding the community, Assisteens is a great way to meet new girls from many schools in the area, and to meet high school service hour requirements.
