Newport Beach resident Yvon Goetz, Executive Chef and Partner at The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar, will lead three of Orange County’s most talented and highly decorated chefs in creating a six-course dinner to help five aspiring chefs earn their Associates Degree in Culinary Arts at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. The inaugural “Orange County Celebrity Chefs Culinary Arts Scholarship” fundraiser will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23 at The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar located at The District in Tustin. Known for bringing a taste of the Wine Country to the heart of Orange County, Chef Goetz will be joined by Pascal Olhats, Executive Chef and Owner of Tradition by Pascal and Brasserie Pascal; Andrew Sutton, Executive Chef at Napa Rose; and Rob Wilson, Executive Chef at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception featuring tray-passed fare and champagne courtesy of Moet Hennessey, followed by a six-course dinner with wine pairings. Each of the four renowned chefs will bring their unique style to the meal.

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be added to The Winery Culinary Arts Scholarship Fund, which was created to support students in Orange Coast College’s Culinary Arts Program. The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar’s four partners will review all applicants as they apply for the scholarship in February 2010 and award the scholarships to the recipients during a campus-wide ceremony in May 2010.
