Newport Paddle Boarder

This wonderful town of Newport has so much to offer via the water. My children participate in BIYC (Balboa Island Yacht Club) for 8 weeks every summer swimming, diving, paddle boarding & rowing with the option of sailing if 9 years or older. They compete for 1st 2nd & 3rd place ribbons each week, with points going towards end of the year trophies at the banquet. The club is over 90 years old, run by kids ages 4-16. Weekly Thursday meeting award the ribbons, and Dennis Viterelli shows a movie in the Agate Park. the movie tradition was started my Larry “the lifeguard” Capune. what could be better than spending the day on the beach with friends all day, and getting ribbons as rewards? Its a joy to be involved in a wonderful program.
