Missing teen found

A 16-year-old was found and returned to his home Thursday, several hours after he went missing from his Huntington Beach home.

Jacob Stone, 16, was reported missing at 3:10 p.m. Thursday from the 21800 block of Newland Avenue, near Pacific Coast Highway. Authorities searched for the boy well into the night, police said.

The mentally challenged teen was found when the Orange Couny Transit Authority called police saying they had found the boy on one of their buses in Santa Ana.

Jacob was positively identified by Orange County Sheriff deputies on the bus near Sixth Street and Flower Street in Santa Ana at 10:20 p.m. Thursday.

Police said Jacob was in healthy condition, and there was no further incident when he was taken home.
