Bicyclist dies after apparent collision

An unidentified Huntington Beach man died Sunday in Long Beach Memorial Hospital after an apparent traffic collision Saturday afternoon.

The 67-year-old bicyclist was found near Warner Avenue on Greentree Lane by the Huntington Beach Police Department after a passing motorist saw the man and called the authorities. The man suffered head injuries after falling off the bike. He was not wearing a helmet, Lt. Russ Reinhart said.

“We are not sure what he collided with and there are not witnesses,” Reinhart said.
