Orange Coast Classic

COSTA MESA — Kimone Hewitt won the women’s race and Sergio Olivarrias was second in the men’s race to pace Orange Coast College to team victories Saturday at Fairview Park.

Hewitt completed the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes, 29.23 seconds.

Olivarrias finished the four-mile course in 20:22.93.

The OCC women had 24 points, well ahead of Mt. SAC (76), while the OCC men had 29 points, 55 better than runner-up San Bernardino Valley.

STANFORD — No. 8-ranked UC Irvine beat Long Beach State, 9-8, and lost to top-ranked USC, 11-3, Saturday at Stanford University.

Cole Bielskas had five combined goals to pace the Anteaters (5-1).
