Walk will help those in need

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will hold a Friends of the Poor Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday at Main Beach in the cobblestone area. Pledges made on behalf of registered walkers in a given community will benefit those most in need in that same community.

The St. Catherine of Siena Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul encourages all Lagunans to participate locally as walkers, pledgers, volunteers, or all three. To register as a walker, to pledge support for a walker or for more information, go to www.svdpfriendsofthepoorwalk.org. To volunteer, call (949) 295-4305

Church installs new pastor

Late last fall, Neighborhood Congregational Church welcomed its new permanent senior pastor, the Rev. B. J. Beu and his family into their congregation. In the congregational tradition, this relationship is celebrated later in the pastor’s first year at a formal Church Installation.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, Neighborhood Congregational Church invites all of Laguna Beach to celebrate this special day at Beu’s Installation Ceremony in the church sanctuary.

For more information, call (949) 715-4630.
