Grounded for life

A caller asked for the Huntington Beach Police Department’s help to get her daughter back after she spent the night at a boyfriend’s house in the 20600 block of Egret Lane at 8:50 a.m. Sunday.

The caller asked for an officer to come to the boyfriend’s house with her. The caller claimed she went there and knocked on the door, but no one answered. The daughter is only 17, the caller said.

Cornell Drive: A caller reported seeing a person near their vehicle with a flashlight after dogs started barking and their daughter heard a car door slam in the 6100 block at 2:26 a.m. Monday. The caller claimed a person entered their white Hummer in the driveway and then saw three males in their late 20s exit the vehicle.

Westwood Lane: A caller reported a neighbor threatening to throw a bag of dog poop at them in the 16900 block at 9:15 a.m. Monday. The caller claimed the same neighbor has once thrown a knife at the grass to try and intimidate them.

Brush Drive: A caller reported a man drunk in public after he defecated on the sidewalk in the 8200 block at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The caller claimed the man was staggering.

Edwards Street and McFadden Avenue: A caller reported two males in their 20s smoking a joint in a white BMW at 6:03 p.m. Monday.

Dolores Street: A caller reported a neighbor’s daughter took her daughter’s Gucci couture Barbie in the 16600 block at 5:24 p.m. Sunday. The caller said when she tried to get it back, the neighbor threw the Barbie over the fence, resulting in a broken shoe for the doll. The caller requested the neighbor apologize.

Thor Drive: A caller reported petty theft after a bike was stolen from an open garage in the 6000 block at 7:20 p.m. Sunday. The caller claimed the bike has custom parts and was worth $600.

Beach Boulevard and Warner Avenue: A caller reported a reckless driver after a man in a gray car was driving like a “nut” at 8:39 a.m. Monday. The caller claimed the man drove on the sidewalk twice to pass other cars.

Shaffer Circle: A caller reported a loud party with 20 people in the 7800 block at 10:41 p.m. Monday.

Palm Avenue: A caller reported a window being shot during the night in the 1200 block at 1:25 p.m. Sunday. The caller claimed the shot looked like it came from a gun and shattered the window. The caller said a similar incident has happened before with a BB gun.

Main Street: A caller reported vandalism inside his car after he left the doors unlocked in the 2000 block at 4:22 p.m. Sunday. The caller said nothing was stolen.

Pacific Coast Highway: A man in a blue Mercedes pretended to go to an ATM to pay a $25 valet fee, but drove off after eating at a restaurant in the 300 block at 8:45 p.m. Sunday. The caller claimed the man had too much to drink and could smell alcohol on his breath.

14th Street: A caller reported a loud party with about 10 people in an alley in the 500 block at 12:45 a.m. Saturday. The caller also claimed there was underage drinking going on.

Lakeside Lane: A caller reported vandalism after someone threw rocks at his car window in the 1500 block at 8:19 a.m. Saturday. The caller said the window was chipped and believes his neighbor did it. The caller said he has had problems with the neighbor.

Third Street: A caller reported petty theft after a backpack was stolen out of an unlocked locker in the 300 block at 9:37 a.m. Saturday. The caller claimed the backpack contained a Blackberry, credit cards and $100 cash.

Magnolia Street: A caller reported grand theft after a 50” Visio plasma TV was stolen from a beer tent at a church carnival in the 20400 block at 3:36 a.m. Monday.

Queens Park Lane: A caller reported cruelty to animals after finding a cat’s head in a park in the 20700 block at 3:02 p.m. Monday.

Magnolia Street: A caller reported a loud party with music and drinking in the 19100 block at 12:32 a.m. Sunday. The caller claimed there were 20 people at the apartment.

Portola Circuit: A caller reported a neighbor screaming and yelling outside in the 8600 block at 7:48 p.m. Sunday. The caller claimed the neighbor was in a nightgown and pounding on her own front door to be let in. The caller said she thinks the husband locked the woman out.

Portsmouth Drive: A caller reported a loud party in the 9300 block at 12:39 a.m. Saturday.

Tobermory Circle: A caller reported three men fighting in a driveway in the 20500 block at 1:00 a.m. Saturday.

Magnolia Street and Atlanta Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver in a Nissan Altima leaving Del Taco at 1:53 a.m. Saturday. The caller claimed the driver was drinking and smoking.

Brookhurst Street and Ellis Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver at 9:47 p.m. Monday.

Warner Avenue: A caller reported an intoxicated person in the 8610 block at 4:23 p.m. Monday.

Brookhurst Street: A caller reported vandalism at a recreational center in the 16400 block at 7:07 a.m. Monday.

Brookhurst Street: A caller reported grand theft in the 18111 block at 1:10 p.m. Monday.

Magnolia Street and Warner Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver 10:37 p.m. Sunday.

Hawthorne Street: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 18573 block at 11:07 p.m. Sunday.

Santa Lauretta Street: A caller reported petty theft in the 18251 at 2:28 p.m. Sunday.

Santa Carlotta: A caller reported a domestic dispute in the 18348 block at 1:50 a.m. Sunday.
