Racing Star Robby Gordon Visits Law Firm Rutan & Tucker

Popular NASCAR Sprint Cup and off-road racing competitor Robby Gordon made a recent pit stop in Costa Mesa to attend a private reception for more than 100 guests outside of the Anton Blvd. offices of Rutan & Tucker LLP, California’s largest full-service law firm based in Orange County. Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza catered the luncheon event.

Firm partner Steve Nichols, who has successfully represented Gordon in several legal matters, arranged the visit. Recently, Nichols was named one of the state’s Top 100 Lawyers in the annual list assembled by the editors of the Daily Journal, California’s largest legal publication.

The centerpiece of the reception was Gordon’s newest racecar, which had been brought out from Gordon’s garage in Charlotte, North Carolina, to compete this past Sunday in the Pepsi 500 race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

Gordon is an Orange County, California native and maintains an office in Anaheim that oversees his off-road racing efforts that include both the SCORE Desert Series – including the famous Baja 500 and Baja 1000, and internationally renowned Dakar Rally endurance race. This location also is responsible for the organization’s successful after-market wheel business.
