Pet Of the Week

Sabina

There must have been a time and a place for the “old wives’ tale” that tells a person to never touch baby animals. Actually, animals that experience limited touch from humans can be wary and skittish, so it is best to give lots of love and attention even to newborn kittens and puppies.

Sabina is a 1-year-old black-and-white cat with a cute, black button nose. She was allowed to play on her own and received limited attention from her caregiver while her more outgoing kitten brother made himself available to pets, leaving her shy of human interaction without a lot of coaxing.

“Sabina actually does like affection but she needs to get to know someone extremely well before she develops a bonding relationship,” says Community Animal Network founder DiAnna Pfaff-Martin.

Community Animal Network is seeking a patient and loving adult home for Sabina. She gets along with other cats, but it would be best for her to live as a single cat to bond with her pet-parent.

Sabina can be met in the caregiver’s home by calling (949) 759-3646.
