Caller: Man fired by mom makes threats

A caller reported a problem with a former male employee in his 40s making threats over the phone in the 17400 block of Nichols Street at 12:17 a.m. Sunday.

The caller claimed the man was upset over being fired by his mother, who owns the business. The caller was instructed by the mother not to let the man in unless she was there, the caller reported.

The man became angry when he came to pick up something and was told he couldn’t take it, the caller claimed. The man threatened to come back with his friend to get the property, the caller reported.

Jarrett Circle: A caller reported a loud party after picking up their niece from the party in the 8800 block at 9:39 p.m. The caller reported 200 people were at the party and there was underage drinking and marijuana there.

Island Circle: A caller reported a fireworks disturbance in the 16600 block at 3:37 p.m. Saturday.

Dolores Street: A caller reported finding a goose tied to their front door in the 16700 block at 7:45 a.m. Saturday. The caller said the goose was alive, but its leg was bleeding. The caller said they suspect an employee they fired the night before.

Center Avenue: A caller reported a bong inside a white Chevy that smelled like marijuana in the 7500 block at 2:18 a.m. Saturday. The caller claimed the license plates were covered.

Partridge Circle: A caller reported uninvited guests in her house after she invited a few friends over in the 5000 block at 1:38 a.m. Sunday. The caller claimed her friends invited people and 40 people showed up. The uninvited guests were fighting, and the caller said she wanted everyone to leave.

Channel Lane: A caller reported their laptop was stolen overnight in the 16600 block at 10:02 a.m. Sunday. The caller said they believed the roommate stole it.

Warner Avenue and Goldenwest Street: A caller reported a man down on Warner, east of Goldenwest at 1:10 p.m. Sunday. The caller said they were afraid the man had a stroke or was drunk.

Goldenwest Street: A caller reported receiving a threatening note from her neighbor over her dog barking in the 16600 block at 8:23 p.m. Sunday. The caller claimed the neighbor threatened to pour gas on her dog. The woman also said she has caught the neighbor squirting water at the dog.

Ross Lane: A caller reported having their foot run over by a remote control car in the 16700 block at 7:57 p.m. Sunday.

Festival Circle: A caller reported a large party with a live band in the 19100 block at 10:03 p.m. Saturday.

Beach Boulevard: A caller reported a hysterical woman on the northeast corner of Beach after the woman’s small dog was run over in the 17700 block at 12:36 p.m. Sunday.

Newman Avenue: A caller reported a loud party keeping her kids awake in the 7700 block at 8:51 p.m. Sunday.

Adams Avenue: A caller reported wanting her money back at a restaurant or fast food place after waiting more than an hour in the 700 block at 2:25 a.m. Saturday. The caller claimed she ordered her food, but the employee wouldn’t give her the food or her money back. The caller also claimed the employee swore at her and told her to get out.

Olive Avenue and Fifth Street: A caller reported more than a dozen kids fighting in the middle of the street at 2:10 a.m. Saturday. The caller claimed the kids were hitting each other and cussing and yelling.

Downtown: A caller reported a suspicious call from his daughter’s cell phone at 2:17 a.m. Sunday. The caller claimed he received a call from his daughter, but could only hear people in the background. The caller reported hearing someone say ‘take her ID to buy gas and stuff’ and ‘let’s go, let’s go.’ The caller reported trying to call his 22-year-old daughter but got no answer.

Pacific Coast Highway: A caller reported a loud party with loud music in the 900 block at 2:19 a.m. Sunday.

Florida Street: A caller reported petty theft after discovering $300 missing from a wallet inside an unlocked car in the 800 block at 10:11 a.m. Sunday.

Dog Beach: A caller reported cruelty to animals after finding a dog in a brown clubwagon van in the parking lot near tower 24 at 4:01 p.m. Sunday.

Main Street: A caller reported two drunk women arguing, while they had dogs tied to the back of a silver Jeep in the 200 block at 5:09 p.m. Sunday. The caller said they were worried about the dogs’ safety.

Waterbury Lane: A caller reported seeing seven coyotes in a flood control channel in the 19300 block at 10:43 p.m. Saturday.

Brookhurst Street: A caller reported their wallet and cell phone was stolen at a cyber café in the 19000 block at 8:04 p.m. Saturday. The caller reported putting their phone and wallet down and then another customer stole them.

Hamilton Avenue: A caller reported his wallet was stolen out of his black Chevy Tahoe after leaving his keys lying around in the 9800 block at 1:46 p.m. Sunday. The caller said he left his keys on a counter at church while he was serving and during band practice. About an hour and a half after putting his keys down, the caller noticed the keys were missing and went to his car. The caller claimed to find the car unlocked with his wallet missing.

Santa Isabel Street: A caller reported a loud party at 10:13 p.m. Sunday.

Nightingale Avenue: A caller reported a domestic dispute at 10:25 p.m. Sunday.

Santa Carlotta Street: A caller reported a juvenile disturbance at a school at 11:26 p.m. Sunday.

Ellis Avenue and Las Flores Street: A caller reported a domestic dispute at 3:10 p.m. Sunday.

Colville Street: A caller reported a domestic dispute at 9:43 a.m. Sunday.

Fall River Circuit: A caller reported a loud party at 10:20 p.m. Saturday.

Brookhurst Street: A caller reported a suspicious subject at a grocery store at 12:06 p.m. Saturday.
