Caller: Neighbor’s husband yells at kids

A caller reported a possible ongoing abusive situation in a neighbor’s house in the 6300 block of Harvard Circle at 1:04 p.m. Sunday.

The caller said the husband yells and uses profanity toward his three children; the youngest is 4 years old.

The caller said she couldn’t handle listening to the man’s tirades anymore. He was screaming at his children again and every other word was an obscenity.

The caller reported him being out of control.

An officer reported there was no physical abuse going on, but the man was upset about being out of work and about his children’s hairstyles.

Royalist Drive: A caller reported their neighbor squirting water into their backyard while they were having a small fire in a stove in the 6000 block at 9:57 a.m. Sunday. The caller reported their neighbor has been causing trouble since 1982.

Sims Street: A caller reported a loud party with girls yelling and laughing in the 17100 block at 12:29 a.m. Saturday.

Warner Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway: A caller reported a drunk driver at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Second Street: A caller reported two women and three men in their early 20s causing a disturbance while drinking in the middle of the street in the 300 block at 12:57 a.m. Saturday. The caller said the group broke a tree, kicked a van and were being loud.

Ocean Vista Drive: A caller reported petty theft of a plastic angel figurine in the 5600 block at 1:03 p.m. Sunday. The caller said they believe it was a neighbor with whom they have had ongoing issues.

Ash Street: A caller reported a suspicious man leering at women in his blue Chevy pickup in the 17200 block at 2:49 p.m. Sunday. The caller reported the man was also looking at her and her neighbor’s children. The caller said another man got in the vehicle and brought the driver a beer in a black bag.

Steep Lane: A caller reported a physical fight between his mother and her neighbors in the 18400 block at 4:18 p.m. Sunday. The caller said there were no weapons involved, but the mother was being jumped by several people.

Glencoe Avenue: A caller reported loud music, possibly coming from inside a church, in the 7700 block at 5:46 p.m. Sunday.

Beach Boulevard: A caller requested an officer accompany her to pick up her children from her ex-husband. The caller said he was supposed to drop the kids off, according to the court order, but he refused to.

Viewpoint Lane: A caller reported a loud party that has been going on for months in the 16700 block at 11:24 p.m. Sunday. The party turned out to be a loud TV.

Toronto Avenue: A caller reported a terrorist threat after receiving text messages saying he was going to die and his house was going to be burned down in the 200 block at 10:27 a.m. Sunday.

Pier: A caller reported a disturbance after seeing three male juveniles pushing a boy duct-taped to a chair down the pier at 8:08 p.m. Sunday. The caller said the boys were about 13 years old.

Kittery Circle: A caller reported a loud party in the 22200 block at 12:26 a.m. Sunday.

Doncaster Drive: A caller reported a possible drug deal going down in the 8400 block at 11:03 a.m. Sunday. The caller said his male neighbor was going in and out of his residence with bags and had the trunk of his older Mercedes open.

Garfield Avenue and Brookhurst Street: A caller reported a fight between a business owner and three men in the parking lot of the business at 1:35 a.m. Sunday. The caller reported the men went into the business and then came out into the parking lot to urinate.

Wave Circle: A caller reported a loud party in the 8500 block at 4:02 a.m. Saturday.

Pacific Coast Highway: A caller reported having a petty theft suspect in custody in the 21500 block at 5:01 a.m. Saturday. The caller reportedly detained another employee after finding the suspect going through purses.

Bushard Street: A caller reported a noise complaint at a high school at 1:52 p.m. Sunday.

Ash Street: A caller reported a loud party at 10:46 p.m. Saturday.

La Casita Avenue: A caller reported a loud party at 11:53 p.m. Saturday.

Magnolia and Warner Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver at 12:29 a.m. Sunday.

Mallard Avenue: A caller reported a stolen vehicle at 5:49 a.m. Sunday.

Newhope Street: A caller reported vandalism at a church at 8:42 a.m. Monday

Edinger Avenue: A caller reported vandalism at 8:55 a.m. Monday.

Slater Avenue: A caller reported a suspicious subject at a bank at 12:25 p.m. Monday.
