Local women to be honored at breakfast

Two Huntington Beach business owners will be honored at a Women of Courage Recognition Breakfast today.

Leslie Siegel and Diane R. Adams-Rehrig were among 10 chosen in Orange County by the Farmers and Merchants Bank.

The program works with the National Assn. of Women Business Owners to recognize businesswomen who exemplify courage in their community, business or personal lives.

Siegel and her husband own a California Closet Co. franchise and managed to make the store profitable while she battled breast cancer and raised two children.

Adams-Rehrig helped get the Taste of Huntington Beach and the BB Jazz Concerts off the ground while raising her autistic son. She also overcame breast cancer six years ago.

Siegel and Adams-Rehrig will be honored at a recognition breakfast in Tustin.
