GARSTONE, Ruth Virginia Atkinson

April 29, 1914-November 3, 2009

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted friend died quietly in her home, in her favorite room, on November 3, 2009, in Balboa, California. She was predeceased by her husband Trenmore Cleland Garstone and her sister, Anne Hoffmann. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy R. (Frank) Taylor and Julie Bird Mattson. Her grandchildren Rebecca (John) Figueroa from Danville, CA; Eva (Richard) Parris from Dubai, UAE, and Nathan (Sally) Mattson of Costa Mesa and her great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy, Michael and Ann Marie Figueroa, Alexander Parris, and William Spencer Mattson.

Services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at Christ Church By The Sea, 1400 W. Balboa Blvd., Newport Beach, CA 92661 at 1:00 p.m.

Donations can be made in her name to the Sherman Library and Gardens, 2647 East Coast Highway, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625.

We lovingly appreciate the care given to our Mother by Jovie Cruz and Melanie.

May the Lord watcheth over me and thee when we are absent one from the other.
