Pet Of the Week

Dulce (Shih Tzu) and Vida (Malti-Poo)

Busy people with families and those who work long hours often discover that they don’t have time for a pet after they get the animal.

When the responsibility of care becomes a reality many dogs are left alone and uncared for to live outdoors in backyards to become a nuisance by barking and annoying the neighbors.

Lucky for the 3-year-old neutered male dogs, Dulce (Shih Tzu) and Vida (Malti-Poo), that a relative stepped in and contacted our network to ask for help finding new homes for the two.

The good citizen rescuer’s sister never meant to neglect the dogs, but after having a baby the family’s activities focused on the child.

The dogs have lived together for their lifetime so they should be adopted as a pair. However, Community Animal Network will be accepting applications for individual dogs in case they are unable to find someone to adopt both dogs.

Dulce means sweet or to soothe and Vida means a way of life or lifestyle.

Meet Dulce and Vida, cats and kittens for adoption from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Fashion Island, sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience.
