Girls’ Volleyball

Newport Harbor High will face Los Alamitos in the CIF Southern Section Division I-AA title match Saturday at 7:37 p.m. at Cypress College.

The top-seeded Sailors (28-6) shared the Sunset League title with the No. 2-seeded Griffins this season, as the teams split matches during league play. But Newport won the first matchup in four games and lost the second in five to become the No. 1 representative from the league.

Girls’ Tennis

Sage Hill School will play host to Rio Mesa of Oxnard in the CIF Southern Section Division IV semifinals at The Tennis Club today at 2 p.m.

Corona del Mar will face Dana Hills in the CIF Southern Section Division I semifinals at the Laguna Niguel Racquet Club today at 2 p.m. The Sea Kings and Dolphins have not played each other this year. They were scheduled to play but it was rained out.
