What a way to start the work week.

A Newport Beach man had a heck of a Monday when he went out to his SUV to find it had been burglarized. Tom Johnson, 56, had his $100 Sirius Satellite Radio stolen as well as his U Pro GPS, a GPS device by Callaway valued at $300.

In an unrelated incident, police arrested a Los Angeles woman last week on suspicion of grand theft. Tyeesia Beautea was arrested at South Coast Plaza on suspicion of robbery after police said she tried to steal $3,000 worth of handbags from Saks Fifth Avenue. When she was confronted by a loss prevention officer, she resisted, said Sgt. Bryan Glass.

She pleaded not guilty to robbery and burglary charges and is due back in court Monday.

Also in an unrelated Newport Beach incident, a resident called police and said that $27,000 worth of jewelry had been stolen from their safe sometime between July and November.
