Beach City Service League Young Men in Action

On November 21, fifteen young men of Beach City Service League spent their Saturday morning giving back to others. BCSL volunteered their time at the annual “Hearts & Hands” Interfaith Council Community Day of Service. Volunteers from the Newport Mesa area all pitched in to help complete projects that would go to those in need.

The young men of BCSL focused their time on such projects as making jump ropes for children at an orphanage in Mexico, making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the homeless and by writing cards for our troops in Iraq. They were able to experience the effects of working together with the greater community to help those in need.

Last year BCSL young men volunteered over 3,200 hours of service to our community. There are currently two chapters with a total of 214 members that comprise Beach City Service League.
