He was a big ‘Purple Rain’ fan
A caller reported loud Prince music playing in her house and said she hadn’t turned it on in the 8100 block of Constantine Drive at 12:34 a.m. Sunday.
The caller said someone wired her house to play music, but it wasn’t her. The caller said the music was coming from the area near her air purifier and believes an unknown man is responsible. Officers reported the woman said the male subject is able to manipulate her electronics into a transistor radio to emit music.
The officers were unable to hear the music, and the caller no longer heard the music when the air purifier was restarted.
Arbor Circle: A caller reported $620 stolen from his wallet after he passed out drunk at a friend’s house in the 16600 block at 9:34 a.m. Sunday. The caller said a lot of friends were drinking and slept over at the friend’s house, but when he woke up, the money was missing from his wallet in his pocket. The caller said he thinks a woman, who woke up about 4 a.m. and left, might have taken his money. Later, the caller reported he might have lost the money.
Warner Avenue: A caller reported receiving threatening e-mails from a violent ex-boyfriend in the 6200 block at 12:59 a.m. Friday. The caller said he told her to watch her back, and she was going to die in a grease fire. The caller said the man lives in Carlsbad and she hasn’t seen him in a year.
Pacific Coast Highway: A caller reported his neighbor stuck his hands into his vehicle and started yelling while he was driving into his complex in the 17000 block at 12:40 p.m. Friday. The caller said he doesn’t know why the man did it, or what he was yelling, but he was afraid if he got out of the vehicle, the man would try to fight him. The caller said he thinks the man might be crazy or on drugs.
Sergio Circle: A caller reported petty theft after a mountain bike was stolen overnight in the 17600 block at 11:56 a.m. Sunday. The caller said the bike was worth $400.
Main Street and Ellis Avenue: A caller reported a disturbance after a subject threw up in a cab after drinking in the downtown area at 1:29 a.m. Saturday. The caller said they told the subject to clean it up, but he wouldn’t and the cab driver was being uncooperative. Officers reported the subjects were intoxicated, and one of the subjects was transported to the hospital.
Barton Drive and Queens Lane: A caller reported a physical fight between more than a dozen eighth-graders at 2:43 p.m. Friday.
Yorktown Avenue: A caller reported a loud party with about five people in the 500 block at 2:34 a.m. Saturday. The caller reported asking the subjects to stop and they told him off profanely.
Bay Meadow Drive: A caller reported a disturbance involving juveniles in the 9500 block at 12:29 a.m. Sunday. The caller said about 10 kids were drinking beer, smoking marijuana and being loud in a backyard.
Pacific Coast Highway and Magnolia Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver in a silver sedan at 12:49 a.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street and Garfield Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver at 1:27 a.m. Monday.
Bushard Street and Slater Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver at 7:26 p.m. Sunday.
Crater Lake Circuit: A caller reported petty theft at 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street and Talbert Avenue: A caller reported a reckless driver at 11:28 p.m. Saturday.
Gold Finch Lane: A caller reported a residential burglary at 2:14 p.m. Saturday.
Modoc Street: A caller reported a barking dog at 8:13 p.m. Saturday.
Newhope Street: A caller reported a noise complaint at 1:28 a.m. Monday.
Sitka Circle: A caller reported a domestic dispute at 6:27 p.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street and Warner Avenue: A caller reported a drunk driver at 1:26 a.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street and the 405 Freeway: A caller reported a drunk driver at 1:57 a.m. Sunday.
