City Hall, services to close for holidays

Newport Beach will close City Hall, and some city programs and services, between Dec. 24 and Jan. 4 to save money.

City employees will use accumulated leave or take unpaid time off during the closures.

City Hall will shut its doors at noon Dec. 24 and will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 4.

Police and fire operations, as well as limited garbage collection, water and wastewater, street sweeping, parking lots, parking meter collection and some library operations, will remain open during the holidays.

City offices will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 4.
