NORWALK — Davon Joyner was named MVP after helping lead the Eagles to the John Glenn Tournament championship Saturday.
He scored eight points for Estancia.
Kohl Jones scored 17 points, hitting four three-pointers and Wes Shaw added 15 points, which included three three-pointers. Jones and Shaw were both named to the all tournament team.

CORONADO — Kaleigh Gilchrist had five goals, three steals and two assists for the Sailors in their season opener Saturday.
Colleen McCall scored three goals, while Kate Klippert added two for Newport Harbor.
BENSON CUP
Hannah Speer scored nine goals to help Costa Mesa High split in its final day of the tournament.
Speer had three goals in a 13-5 loss to El Capitan and six in a 10-8 win over Valhalla. Sydney Rosello added two goals in Costa Mesa’s win.

IRVINE — Carol Van der Velde had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Sea Kings in the title game of the CdM Tip-off Tournament Saturday.
Katie Bergsma added 10 points for CdM (3-1).

CORONA DEL MAR — Danny Busch went 8-0 in the 152 weight class, while Cody Forrest (215) and Jake Starnes (189) were both 7-1 to help Corona del Mar High finish as consolation champion in its 16-team tournament that ended Saturday.
The Sea Kings lost to Capistrano Valley in the first round, but beat Orange Lutheran, Tustin, Newport Harbor and Cypress.
Vista Murrieta won the tournament, Western came in second and Aliso Niguel was third.
Busch recorded the most takedowns in the tournament with 43.
Newport Harbor
CORONA DEL MAR — The Sailors’ Lewis Loeb went 7-0 with five pins in the heavyweight division during the Battle by the Bay Tournament Saturday.
Newport Harbor went 4-3 in the 16-team tournament.
