The jury trial for David Jeffrey McKee, a minor league hockey player accused of drugging and raping a drunken, unconscious woman at her Newport Beach home, will take place 9 a.m. Jan. 19 in Courtroom C5 of the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.

McKee was attending a hockey camp in Orange County in 2006 when the alleged rape occurred after he went drinking at Woody’s Wharf. He was playing for the Portland Pirates at the time and now plays for the Bakersfield Condors.

Eric Andrew Naposki and Nanette Ann Packard pleaded not guilty at their arraignment Friday of murdering a Newport Beach businessman in 1994 for financial gain.

The pair also denied charges of murder for financial gain; Naposki denied that he used a firearm.

Packard is accused of working with former NFL player Naposki to murder her millionaire boyfriend, William Francis McLaughlin, in Balboa Coves.

Kenneth Leake, who is accused of shooting and killing his 71-year-old wife in Costa Mesa earlier this year, pleaded not guilty Friday to murder and denied using a firearm.
