Coastline appoints interim president

Coastline Community College announced the appointment of an interim president for the college until a permanent replacement can be found.

Marilyn Brock will take the reins at Coastline and replace President Ding-Jo Currie as the Coast Community College District conducts a nationwide search for a permanent replacement.

Brock’s appointment was unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees during a special meeting Dec. 16. Brock will begin Jan. 1.

The position became vacant when Currie was selected as interim chancellor for the district and later appointed the permanent chancellor.

Coastline is headquartered in Fountain Valley and operates an art gallery in Huntington Beach.
