Newport Beach library hosts family concert Jan. 9

The Newport Beach Public Library, 1000 Avocado Ave., will host a free family concert at 11 a.m. Jan. 9 in its Friends Meeting Room.

The show will feature a “musical adventure” written by Jennifer Stevenson and performed by the Vientos Trio. The adventure teaches children core musical concepts including rhythm, pitch, volume, meter, tone, color and mood.

Reservations are not required; the show is suitable for children 5 and older.
