NEWPORT BEACH — Corona del Mar High goalie Alex Musselman recorded 31 saves and helped the Sea Kings finish third in the 16-team tournament Saturday.

Musselman had 18 saves in CdM’s 4-2 victory over Laguna Beach in the third-place game. Cassidy Papa led the Sea Kings (6-4) with two goals.

In addition to her 13 saves, Musselman also had four steals in a 6-4 loss to eventual champion Dos Pueblos of Goleta in the semifinals.

TEMECULA — Brian Waldron was named to the all-tournament team in the Linfield Christian Cage Classic after the Mustangs’ loss in the consolation championship game Saturday.

Matt Dimson had 14 points and Andrew Albers added 13 points for Costa Mesa (2-14).
