Try the new raw bar

Whole Foods in Tustin landed a major coup with the partnership of Jenny Ross, 118 Degrees Restaurant owner from the Camp in Costa Mesa.

Ross is debuting a new Raw Bar from 6 to 8 p.m. today. It’s a free grand opening party. The Raw Bar features Jenny’s delicious raw cuisine inspired by her past 10 years in the raw food movement. You can sample raw bar favorites, like chocolate truffles, lasagna, Portabello tacos and more; and drink Kombucha martinis (we might pass on this one).

Singer-songwriter Mike Isberto will be, you know, singing, and you can enter raffles, win free gifts and have fun. Reserve a spot by e-mailing spjam.marketing@wholefoods.com.

Whole Foods is at 2847 Park Ave. For more information, call (714) 566-7650 or visit www.wholefoodsmarket.com/ stores/tustin. 118 Degrees is at 2981 Bristol St., Suite B5 in Costa Mesa.

Paddle out, dude

The epicenter of all things paddle surfing in Orange County is at Paddle Surf Warehouse in Costa Mesa. It’s a one-stop shopping destination for all paddle board-related gear with more than 100 boards in stock.

Choose from even cutting-edge paddleboards plus bags, paddles and deck pads. It carries boards for high-performance surfing, or just paddling along the coast and even lakes. Owner Mike Roberts, a paddle surfer enthusiast, can answer any questions you might have about the sport.

The C4 Waterman Stand-Up Paddle surfboard line is the culmination of Robert’s knowledge along with three other pros who bring more than 160 years experience in water sports to the designs. Bring in your old used boards as consignment. Paddle Surf also offers SUP instruction for all ages and board rentals. There’s no experience necessary and it’s easier than surfing.

Paddle Surf Warehouse is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 643 W. 17th St. For more information, call (949) 574-5897 or visit www.paddlesurfwarehouse.com.

Donate old clothes

It’s National Get Organized Month, which is the perfect time to consider this: Working Wardrobes is asking everyone to clean out their closets, cabinets and drawers and donate good quality items.

The local charity helps men, women and young adults enter the work force through wardrobe services and career training. And some clothing and accessories can immediately help someone for a job interview!

Also, Working Wardrobes has a sale — Gotta GO to the Gotta GO Sale — from Tuesday to Jan. 23. There are three ways to donate: call Gail Gray of A Fresh Start Professional Organizing, at (714) 435-0385 to schedule a pick up; drop off at Working Wardrobes Donation Center, in the rear of the Career Center, 3030 Pullman St. in Costa Mesa, (714) 210-2460; or drop off at one of six local Kona Cleaners locations.

Visit www.konacleaners.net/ contact.html for location details.
