Prop 8 opponents plan rally

Proponents of same-sex marriage are expected to rally to support a repeal of Proposition 8 at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Huntington Beach Pier, according to a Repeal Prop. 8 Facebook group.

Proposition 8 banned same-sex marriage in California and was passed in November. The proposition has been appealed to the Supreme Court and is expected to begin trial Monday in San Francisco. The trial will be videotaped and circulated on YouTube, according to the Los Angeles Times.
