Chef/Owner of 118 Degrees in Costa Mesa hosts free event to open Raw Bar at Whole Foods

Restaurateur Jenny Ross, chef/owner of 118 Degrees Restaurant in Costa Mesa has taken her original recipes and pioneering spirit to Whole Foods Market at The District in Tustin where the Raw Bar, a new counter featuring raw foods, is now open. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010, Chef Jenny will host a Grand Opening event at the new Raw Bar counter within the store that will allow guests to sample delicious raw cuisine inspired by her experience in the field of living foods. The event, open to the public with no charge to attend, will feature a sampling of items offered on a full menu of raw delights and made-to-order salads, entrées and desserts, including kombucha martinis, chocolate truffles, lasagna and portabella tacos.

“My goal is to empower the community with fresh, organic living cuisine, presented in an artful context, to be enjoyed with family and friends,” commented Chef Jenny, whose is also a published author of a cookbook that, along with her numerous accolades and awards, makes her a leading authority in raw foods. “The Raw Bar at Whole Foods is a glimpse into the future of food by offering a menu that is full of nutrient-rich selections that are pleasing to the body and the mind. This event allows the public to enjoy the feel-good energy of organic living cuisine.”
