Rutan & Tucker LLP, California’s largest full-service law firm based in Orange County, has announced that attorney Rob Marcereau has been elevated to partner. He joined the firm as an associate in 2000.

A member of the firm’s Trial Section, Marcereau has been involved in a variety of business litigation matters, including securities fraud class actions, patent infringement cases, and contract disputes between Fortune 500 companies.

He has demonstrated his legal prowess in large scale and high-end construction project disputes, representing nationally recognized contractors and design professionals. He helped recover the largest reported arbitration award in Caltrans’ history – more than $12.1 million – and one of the largest settlements in Caltrans’ history – $11.9 million. These two cases are the latest of five significant arbitration victories or settlements he obtained against Caltrans.
