He is suspected of confronting a Huntington Beach man outside his home around 10 p.m. and demanding the man’s wallet, stating he owed somebody money, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Espinoza is suspected to have shot the man once in the leg when he refused to give up his wallet before fleeing the scene.

Officers were unable to locate the shooter at the time of the incident, but an investigation led to Espinoza’s arrest.

He is expected to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Friday in courtroom W-15 at the West Justice Center in Westminster.
