Woman, 18, charged with felony DUI

An 18-year-old Fountain Valley woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony driving under the influence in connection with a traffic accident last month.

Danielle Everman, driving a silver Ford Explorer, hit the west curb of Ward Street, south of Talbert Avenue, and over-corrected, causing her to crash into a guardrail on the 405 Freeway overpass about 2 a.m. Dec. 5, according to a preliminary investigation by the Fountain Valley Police Department.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision, but Everman’s passenger was severely injured and taken to a trauma center, police said.

An investigation revealed Everman was driving under the influence of alcohol during the time of the accident, officials said.

Everman was booked by the Fountain Valley Police Department on Wednesday and released on $100,000 bail, police said.
