SmartLabs’ HAN technology, INSTEON, is now being used for energy management, demand response and load-shedding in Smart Grid trials with four of the top 10 utilities in the United States.

Additionally, Dada and SmartLabs have won numerous awards from AEA, CES, Electronic House, CEPRO, Builder Magazine and Constructech, among others, and is active in the Youth Presidents’ Organization, a worldwide forum of more than 10,000 Presidents and CEOs exchanging ideas and sharing strategies to achieve personal and professional growth.

“UC Irvine Extension’s ‘Sustainability Leadership’ Certificate Program offers tremendous growth potential for businesses to expand on their company’s sustainability efforts to ultimately achieve overall corporate responsibility,” said Dada. “I’m excited to be part of a program that is leading the way in environmental stewardship.”

Dada holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in engineering and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As an expert in home automation, Dada has served on the CEA CE Advisory Panel and is a popular speaker at consumer electronics and Smart Grid conferences. Dada recently spoke on the panel “Bringing the Smart Grid to the Smart Home” at the Connections Summit 2010 at CES in Las Vegas, and will be speaking at the Smart Energy Summit: Engaging the Consumer, January 26th in Austin, Texas.

UC Irvine Extension’s “Sustainability Leadership” Certificate Program integrates sustainable development and environmentalism into a corporation’s management strategies; advances the comprehension of environmental compliance; contributes to an understanding of regulatory trends; and adds to the achievement of corporate social responsibility.
