Marjorie Mize Le Gaye

Marjorie Mize Le Gaye, “Marge,” died peacefully at home in Laguna Beach on Jan. 8th 2010 at age 86. She was born in LA on Sep. 27, 1923 and has lived in Laguna Beach since 1960.

Marge graduated Stanford law school at 21, practiced law for 64 years, and established the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, which has over five hundred million books in print. She loved traveling with her family, playing tennis, and raising beagles.

She was predeceased by her parents Robert Charles Mize and Eleanor Mize. She is survived by her son; Kevin Spencer, grandchildren; Shawna Spencer, Ish Spencer, Jason Spinner, Pani Schauffler, great granddaughter Chandra Spencer, brother; Robert Mize Jr. and his siblings.

Memorial services were held at the Women’s Club, 286 St. Ann’s Dr., Laguna Beach on Saturday, Jan. 30th, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Food for Life at fflvrindavan.org.
