Bridgette Reyes (14 points), Diana Neves (13), Sarah Boyd (13) and Jaclyn Blied (12) were also in double figures for Vanguard (16-2, 12-2 in conference).

COSTA MESA — Greg Scott scored a game-high 28 points for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday night.

Billal Azizi had 16 points, while Dennis Heenan and William Thompson had 13 points each for Vanguard (5-15, 4-10 in conference).

RANCHO SANTA FE — The UC Irvine men’s golf team finished fourth Tuesday at The Farms Golf Club.

Host San Diego won the 12-team tournament with a 54-hole total of 862. SMU was second at 865, Fresno State third at 875 and UCI fourth at 878. The Anteaters shot 287 Tuesday, the second-best team score behind San Diego’s 281.

Fresno State’s Bhavik Patel was medalist at 8-under 208 after a 3-under 69 Tuesday.

UCI senior John Chin shot a 4-under 68 in the final round to finish sixth at even-par 216. Junior Max Greil also was sixth after a 73 Tuesday.
