EL CAJON — Bridgette Reyes had 21 points, six rebounds and four assists for the No. 3-ranked Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday.

Sarah Boyd added 16 points, Rachel Copeland had 14 points and Diana Neves scored 13 points for Vanguard (18-2, 14-2 in conference), which will play host to No. 7-ranked Azusa Pacific Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Kris Martin, Kevin Cho, Mykal Stokes, Stefan Jarrin and Sam Michaels had two hits each for OCC (3-2), which had 16 hits

Canyons (4-2) had 20 hits.

COSTA MESA — Alessandro Ventre won at No. 1 singles and contributed to a win at No. 2 doubles for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference match Tuesday at Costa Mesa Tennis Center.

Lucas Pereira, Mark Tarjan and Yahor Kryvaruchka also won in singles for Vanguard (2-1, 2-0 in conference), ranked No. 6 in the NAIA. PLNU, ranked No. 7, dropped to 0-2, 0-2.

COSTA MESA — Yannick Lepage, Matt Miller and Kevin Tran won in singles for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference opener Tuesday.

OCC (4-0) swept in doubles.
