Huntington Beach police arrested an Anaheim man Thursday night on suspicion of coming to town with intent to have sex with a 13-year-old girl.

David Bryan, whom police identified as a registered sex offender, was arrested at about 8 p.m. Detectives searched his residence afterward and found additional evidence related to the crime as well as child pornography, Lt. Russell Reinhart said.

Police located Bryan through a sting operation in which an undercover detective posed as a 13-year-old girl online, Reinhart said. Bryan contacted the victim and attempted to solicit sex acts, he said.
