BRADY

Ouch! Brady’s eyelashes are rubbing on his corneas.

The 8-month-old white and tabby kitten was born with a congenital birth defect that caused some of his lashes to grow inward, and it hurts every time he blinks.

His caretakers apply gel to his eyes to make him more comfortable. But besides being painful, if the condition is left untreated, Brady will go blind.

Doing charitable work has never been more difficult in these economic times, but Brady needs your help. His surgery requires specialists who are willing to discount, but it is still not cheap.

The specialists at the Eye Care for Animals in Tustin would perform the eyelid reconstruction surgery, and Community Animal Network will need to raise $1,800.

Brady is in need of a home that would drive him to his vet appointments and add his eye gel three to four times a day until the funds can be raised for his surgery.

Brady is the kind of kitten that wants to snuggle up in bed and, amazingly, likes to cuddle. He is a heartbreaker and a favorite of all of our volunteers. Call (949) 759-3646 to apply to adopt Brady or to become a foster parent to an animal in need.

If you want to help, mail your check to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658 and memo your check, “Brady’s Eye Surgery,” nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560.
