David C. Carlisle

David went fishing in God’s Lake March 8 after a long

fight with Alzheimers. He spent his last 5 ½ years at

Silverado Alzheimers facility in Costa Mesa. He gave

them a hard time just like he did his students but everyone

loved him.

David moved to Orange County in the 50’s ending his

teaching and coaching career at Newport-Mesa-mainly

Estancia High School where he elevated the Eagles’

basketball program to a higher level in the 70’s.

He is survived by his wife Joan, brothers Max and

John, sister Ella Grace, daughters Vicki and Kathy, sons

David and Bruce and 7 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday Mar. 15

from 12 to 3pm at 15632 Butterfield-Westminister, Ca. In

lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimers

Association or your favorite charity.
