NEWPORT BEACH — Senior pitcher Ryan Albert earned the win and also went two for two with two walks, three runs batted in, a home run and a double in a semifinal of the Foothill bracket of the Newport Elks Tournament Thursday.
Albert struck out four, walked none and allowed five hits in four innings that saw La Serna score two unearned runs.
Senior shortstop Austin Wobrock went two for three, senior center fielder Alex Maddox went two for three with two stolen bases and senior second baseman Jacob McCann was two for four for Newport Harbor (4-0), which plays host to the championship game against Martin Luther King of Riverside Saturday at 2 p.m.

WHITTIER — Tyler Rios had one hit, two runs batted in and a stolen base for the Eagles in a semifinal of the Orange County bracket of the Newport Elks Tournament Thursday.
Matt Carlyle (one for four and a run scored), Alex Trancoso (one for two with a run scored) and Andres Hernandez (one for three with a stolen base) also played well for Estancia (3-1), which plays in the third-place game Saturday.

FULLERTON — Will Morrow was three for four with four runs batted in and two doubles for the Sea Kings in a Foothill bracket Newport Elks Tournament consolation game Thursday.
Parker Werline was two for five with an RBI and a double for CdM (1-3). Nick Couchot drove in Beau Attyah, who reached on a leadoff double, in the top of the ninth inning.
But Troy answered with two runs on three hits and a walk for the win.
The Sea Kings finish the tournament Saturday.

GARDEN GROVE — Senior Kohl Jones had 25 kills to lead the Eagles to a 25-18, 25-17, 19-25, 22-25, 15-13 nonleague win Thursday.
Tyler Sullivan had 36 assists and Austin Knott added 13 digs for Estancia (2-2).

NEWPORT BEACH — Mandy Legault had two singles, two walks and four runs for the Sailors in the nonleague game Thursday.
Lauren Gandi, Alex Bauer, Hattie Marshall and Bella Secaira had two hits each for Newport Harbor (2-0).

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings’ No. 1 doubles team of Matt Fisher and Pierce Stemler swept in the nonleague match Thursday.
Fisher and Stemler were down, 4-3, 40-love and came back to win that set, 6-4, to shift the momentum in CdM’s favor for the rest of the match.
Shane Korber won a critical singles match against Jonathan Hammel, in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (11-9), to seal the victory for the Sea Kings (3-0).
CdM swept all nine doubles sets for the third consecutive match.

IRVINE — The Sailors’ No. 1 singles player Tracy Bebli won, 6-4, 6-4, in the nonleague match Thursday.
The No. 1 doubles team of Troy Arnold and Jason Cernius won, 6-3, 6-2, for Newport (2-1), which plays at Corona del Mar Tuesday at 3 p.m.

COSTA MESA — The Eagles’ No. 2 doubles team of Dave Cornelius and Sam Borkton swept, 6-3, 6-2, 7-5, in the nonleague match Thursday.
Estancia dropped to 1-3.

NEWPORT BEACH — Sea Kings Mike Moorhead and Josh Starnes shot par 35 to earn medalist honors in the nonleague match Thursday at Newport Beach Country Club.
Jono Keedy and Steve Bruno each shot 39, while John Davenport shot 40 for CdM (4-1), which will play against Mission Viejo Tuesday at NBCC.

IRVINE — Ahmed Eltamamai and Kam Fujii both shot two-over-par 38, the low for the Lightning in the nonleague match Thursday at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course.

COSTA MESA — Asher Twardowski and Conner Graham won two events each for the Eagles in the nonleague meet Thursday.
Twardowski won the 200-yard individual medley and the 500 freestyle, while Graham touched the wall first in the 50 free and the 100 breaststroke. Preston Schow won the 100 free and Matt Thome won the 200 free for Estancia.
