‘The Hills’ star held on DUI suspicion

Reality TV star Jason Wahler, from the MTV shows “The Hills” and “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” was arrested Fridy night on suspicion of driving under the influence in Newport Beach, police said Saturday.

Wahler, 23, of Los Angeles was driving a black 2008 Chevy Tahoe when Newport Beach police arrested him on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI at Seaward Road and East Coast Highway at 10:54 p.m. Friday, Newport Beach Sgt. Evan Sailor said.

The star was released of his own recognizance early Saturday morning and is scheduled to appear in court at Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach at a later date, Sailor said.

Police on Saturday declined to release Wahler’s booking photo or what his blood-alcohol level was at the time of his arrest.

Wahler once dated “The Hills” and “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” co-star star Lauren Conrad.

Video recently surfaced on the Internet of Wahler being arrested by police in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, after he was ejected from a nightclub.
