Three residents sued over alleged tax fraud

Three Huntington Beach residents were hit with a federal lawsuit last week to stop their business of allegedly filing false tax returns to swindle the government out of more than $15 million.

Alexander Adams and his two sons, Garrett and Brandon Adams, of Adams Beach Income Tax, 19772 Trident Lane, are being sued by the United States to ban them and their business from preparing federal tax returns, according to a release from the Department of Justice.

The Adamses couldn’t be immediately reached.

The three men are accused of preparing federal income tax returns for themselves and customers claiming large tax returns based on fraudulent income tax withholding.
