Ocean View Bats dents the Hot Rods

Minor A - Bats vs Hot Rods (8 to 2)

The Ocean View Bats scored their first win of the season against the Hot Rods Friday Evening with a score of 8 to 2. Hot Rods pitcher Ben Quezada and catcher Lucas Hansen showed stellar performance but couldn’t keep the Bats from hitting. A bunt from Noah Hickman and two well-hit doubles from Ryan Sanchez and Brandon Windisch got the Bats fired up, but in the end, it was the defense that shut down the Hot Rods. Pitchers Seth Knorr and Nick Deleske kept their throws in the strike zone throughout the game. Colton Meyer turned a double play while Jason St. Pierre stopped everything at third. In the final inning, it was a drive up the middle that was fielded by pitcher Deleske who made an easy toss to first to end the game.
