MALIBU — Jordan DuFault and Carson Clark had 24 kills each to lead the No. 11-ranked Anteaters past No. 2 Pepperdine, 19-30, 30-24, 30-28, 26-30, 19-17 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match Saturday.

UCI (12-13, 7-11 in the MPSF) won its first five-set match in nine chances. Setter Jeff Schmitz came off the bench to record 48 set assists and seven digs.

TEMPE, Ariz. — UC Irvine senior John Chin shot an even-par 71 Saturday to finish third at Karsten Golf Course.

Chin recorded a 54-hole total of six-under 207. San Diego State’s J.J. Spaun won at eight-under 205.

UCI and Colorado State tied for 11th place with three-round totals of 857. Washington won the team title at 839.
