Registration open for Laguna city tennis tournament

Registration has begun for the 53rd annual City of Laguna Beach Tennis Tournament, scheduled for April 24 and 25 and May 1 and 2.

Players can register in men’s, women’s, doubles and mixed doubles divisions at levels from Open to 2.5.

The entry deadline is April 16 and forms are at www.allcourttennis.com.

Ragnar Relay Series will travel through Laguna

The second annual Ragnar Relay Southern California race is headed through Laguna Beach on April 23 and 24, as the 198-mile relay race stretches from Santa Barbara to Dana Point.

The Ragnar Relay Series challenges teams of up to 12 runners, on courses between 180 and 200 miles. Each runner runs three legs, each between three and eight miles, and each team has two support vehicles with the other runners en tow.

The “team relay” overnight race is sold out, but donations are being raised for the Students Run L.A. charity.
